Comparison

TMRW vs other broker platforms.

Ease, Maxwell Health, BenefitFocus, Zywave — all software platforms. TMRW is a wholesale carrier partnership with software underneath. The right comparison depends on what you actually need.

The short version

Independent benefits brokers evaluating partner platforms typically compare TMRW Benefits with Ease, Maxwell Health, BenefitFocus, and Zywave. The right comparison depends on whether you primarily need an enrollment portal (where Ease and Maxwell are mature), a benefits administration system (BenefitFocus territory), or a wholesale partnership with carrier appointments and a year-round product portfolio (TMRW's positioning). TMRW differs from pure-software platforms by also providing carrier appointments and acting as the agency-of-record — meaning brokers without their own carrier appointments can still write business through TMRW.

Where TMRW wins

Four structural advantages.

01

Carrier appointments

Ease, Maxwell, BenefitFocus, and Zywave are software platforms — no carrier appointments. TMRW carries appointments (Cigna, BCBS, plus ancillary), so brokers without specific carrier relationships can write through TMRW.

02

No platform fee

Pure-software platforms charge per-seat or per-employee fees. TMRW operates on commission split with no software fee.

03

Year-round product portfolio

TMRW comes pre-loaded with major medical, ancillary, supplemental, and lifestyle products. Pure-software platforms are bring-your-own-products.

04

Marketing run by TMRW

Pure-software platforms put marketing on the broker. TMRW handles employee-facing campaigns automatically.

Where pure-software platforms win

Honest tradeoffs — three places TMRW isn't the strongest pick.

AMS integration

Ease, Maxwell, and BenefitFocus integrate natively with AMS systems. TMRW currently exports for AMS upload. If deep AMS sync is critical to your workflow, that's a real consideration.

Branding control

Pure-software platforms can be more white-label than TMRW. If your brand identity is paramount and any third-party branding is unacceptable, that's a tradeoff worth weighing.

Larger broker shop infrastructure

BenefitFocus is built for broker shops with 50+ producers. TMRW is built for 1–10 person agencies. Different shape, different fit.

Honest fit decision

The right answer depends on you, not the platform's marketing.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I use TMRW alongside another platform?

Yes. TMRW is non-exclusive. Many partner brokers run TMRW alongside an existing AMS, BGA relationship, or pure-software enrollment platform. TMRW is most often used as the wholesale carrier-and-product layer, with whatever AMS or workflow tools you already have on top.

Can I switch from another platform to TMRW?

Yes, with planning. Most brokers switching from a pure-software platform retain that platform for client groups already enrolled there, and bring new clients (and renewing clients with appetite) to TMRW. A clean cutover requires aligning with carrier appointment timing.

Will I lose data if I leave TMRW?

No. Your client and member data is exportable at any time during partnership and during a 90-day post-departure window. Residual commissions on policies you wrote through TMRW typically continue per the carrier's standard residual schedule, as long as policies remain in force.

Does TMRW have a free trial?

Not in the SaaS sense, since there's no platform fee to trial. The 30-minute application conversation is the trial — Jesse walks through the platform, products, commission grid, and onboarding. Either side can decline at any point. Most brokers know within that conversation whether it's a fit.
