SPD (Summary Plan Description)

The plain-language ERISA-required document distributed to plan participants explaining how the plan works, eligibility, benefits, claims procedures, and ERISA rights. Must be provided within 90 days of becoming covered. Updated SPDs required every 5 years (10 if no plan changes).
